It's Time for Oktoberfest!

Leaf Peeping via Rail

$25 for adults (13 and up), $15 for juniors (12 and under), free for children 2 and under (lap seat).
All aboard the Stourbridge Line for a two-hour trip to Lackawaxen leaving out of the Hawley station! This is a great and relaxing way to do a little Poconos leaf-peeping—without the hassle of driving! Take in the beauty of the Lackawaxen River as it flows toward the Delaware River. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife that inhabits the river and surrounding areas. Sit back and relax as you stroll through the Northern Poconos as the leaves are changing into an assortment of reds and oranges. The rail cars are heated, and restrooms are available on the train. Pick Your Own Pumpkin at the Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival
September 29, 2018 - October 28, 2018 (daily)
There's so much to see and do at the Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival, open daily late September through October. You can pick your own pumpkin, play games and enjoy some great food. Enjoy daily hayrides, family corn maze, haunted house and much more. There's even more fall fun on weekends including wagon rides, midway rides, bumper balls, and a gourd grenade activity. The escape rooms will be open! Fees apply to weekend additions. It's all available at the Country Junction— "The World's Largest General Store" located at 6565 Interchange Road in Lehighton, PA 18235. Visit their website for additional information.
Poconos Farmer's Markets
You can take advantage of several Farmer's Markets throughout the Poconos. Most of them run through the end of October. Here are a couple of the popular markets in the area you may want to check out.
The Monroe Farmers' Market has been serving the Stroudsburg community for 40 years and still growing strong. The market offers quality produce, flowers, meats, breads, preserves, and much more from local farmers. This market is free and happens every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM through November 2, 2019, at 610 Monroe Street in Stroudsburg. You'll find everything from fresh produce to local baked goods and gourmet chocolates (they even have fresh-baked dog treats!)
The Milford Farmers Market is held every Sunday until October 6 from 10:00 to 2:00 PM at 611 Broad Street in Milford. You can sample the produce from local growers and then head into town to browse through the local shops, art galleries, and even enjoy fine dining. You may also want to check out their Septemberfest, on September 14 that will include live music.
Get into the spirit of fall and dive into a colorful pile of festive activities and autumn beauty! The Hawley Harvest Hoedown celebrates fall in the charming town of Hawley. Enjoy a Saturday full of cider tastings, brews, contests, demonstrations, family activities, crafts, entertainment, locally grown foods, shopping and so much more. Some activities may include a fee to participate.

Hawley Harvest Hoedown

Enjoy this great weekend packed full of brews, contests, demonstrations, family activities, crafts, day and night entertainment, fresh locally grown foods, local maple syrup, pies, local business specials and deals and so much more on the main and side streets of Hawley. The finale to Saturday's festivities will be a high-energy bluegrass and folk show beginning at 7:30 pm at the Ritz Theater (512 Keystone Street in Hawley).
